The Best Italian Wines 2018.
An event like that organized by Luca Maroni,
held in Rome in these days (Feb 15th to 18th), really happens to inaugurate the “live” activity of iBestmag. The subtitle of the event is in fact “The Excellencies on Display”, just as excellence is the cornerstone of our Mission.
For fans of good drinking, an event of this magnitude can only be inevitable. Hundreds of labels, proposed by 150 producers selected by Luca Maroni and in free tasting, provide the visitor who loves the wine, more or less the same impression of the coins deposit to Disney’s Uncle Scrooge.
We could not miss it, even if it was humanly impossible to cover the event with the completeness it deserved. The large number of visitors, the vastness of the proposal and our human limits… allowed us to taste no more than about twenty wines. Anyway, among these, there was not one that disappointed our palate. A further confirmation (if ever there was a need) of the state of health of the Italian wine industry, at least from the qualitative point of view. It is equally impossible to mention all the producers present here. Someone will find his name in some photographs, but it will be just a random selection of “aesthetic”, aimed at “decorating” this article …. and absolutely, not qualitative. The complete list can be found by following the link at the bottom of the article.
In addition to wine tastings, during these 4 days , there were numerous side events: Awards ceremony for the winners of the Best Italian Wine titles, during Thursday’s inaugural evening; seminars and gastronomic workshops on other days, complete the program of the event. All this, in a prestigious location: The Hall of the Fountains at the EUR.
Yes, definitely unmissable !
