A “Secret” Luxury Hotel in Chelsea.
Almost hidden in the heart of Chelsea, a late 19th century building in typical Victorian style, awaits the most demanding visitors looking for luxury, elegance and discretion. A place to feel as one’s own, as if it had always been a family.
In fact, the spirit that animates the San Domenico House is precisely this: merging the values of the Victorian tradition with those of the Italian “Dolce Vita”, without neglecting the most modern comforts. The skilful individual decoration of the 19 rooms and suites, through a guessed combination of fine antiques, luxurious period furniture, precious 18th century paintings, the thematic chromatisms of the various rooms: everything contributes to the realization of a small and exclusive jewel for refined connoisseurs.
On the other hand, we could not expect anything less from the Melpignano family who, in 2005, took over the property, and turned it into its current state, giving it the same name as one of the other hotels owned: the exclusive “Masseria San Domenico” in Savelletri – Puglia, universally known for being frequented by the exponents of international “Jet Set”. And even the Chelsea House is not far behind its “sister”, as a favorite destination for artists, designers, writers and prominent personalities.
The quiet but strategic location near Sloane Square allows guests to easily reach places of interest such as the Saatchi Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum or Harrods in a few minutes walk, just to name a few. Also nearby, numerous Michelin-starred restaurants are just steps away, provided you do not want to take advantage of the tailor-made menus available in the hotel itself.
An ideal place therefore, from where to leave to visit the fascinating English metropolis, but where to come back every evening, feeling “at home”.
