Praise of Beauty.
A splendid 16th century manor house, immersed in an equally wonderful landscape, mainly intended for wine production, a stone’s throw from Lake Garda, make up the Villa Cordevigo Wine Relais. A very exclusive relais, where you can breathe “Beauty” in every moment, both because of the structure of the villa itself, and because of the natural environment that surrounds it.
A place that also perfectly covers all the focuses of our mission: excellence in the hospitality, drinking and food sectors: we could in fact present it individually as a Grand Luxury Hotel, as an important winery (Vigneti Villabella), or as a refined restaurant (l’Oseleta) led by a Michelin-starred Chef (Giuseppe D’Aquino) but, what makes Villa Cordevigo exceptional is the combination of all these characteristics.
As we said, we are near Lake Garda and precisely, in Cavaion Veronese (Vr) in an area between Valpolicella and Bardolino, a veritable temple of wine’s excellence. In fact, the current owners, the Delibori and Cristoforetti families, who acquired it at the end of the last century, already owned the Villabella vineyards that surround it. After a fine and careful restoration started in 2004, Villa Cordevigo has returned to shine in all its dazzling beauty, thus becoming the 5-star luxury hotel that we can admire now.
The 34 rooms and suites impress for the suspended atmosphere that transmit, as result of wise juxtapositions between the nineteenth-century style and modern elements, fine fabrics, marbles, finishes. Guests, always in an atmosphere of complete relaxation, can then take advantage of the Essentia Spa to regenerate, away from everyday life and its stress.
After the pleasures of sight and those of the body, the Restaurant L’Oseleta offers simply but refined dishes interpreted by Chef Giuseppe D’Aquino who, after several national and international experiences, has been delighting the palates here at Villa Cordevigo since 2010. A cuisine that pays attention to the excellent products present in the area and which expertly mixes the various influences acquired by D’Aquino throughout his career. Two dishes on all represent him: “Spaghetti al pomodoro del piennolo with burrata and lemon peel” and “La Ricciola”. In 2013 he got the Michelin star.
The choice of wines is, of course, of equally high quality given the vines variety of the family vineyards. All the great Veronese wines, from Bardolino to Amarone, are in fact produced in the over 200 hectares that make up the “Villabella Vineyards”. Among other things, it is possible to participate in tours organized in the vineyards themselves, in the cellars and in the characteristic villages of the surrounding area.
Honestly, it seems difficult to ask more to a Relais, even if of great luxury. Villa Cordevigo goes beyond the simple concept of luxury: here the “Beauty” reigns supreme.
