The Sound of Silence.
Amangiri (The Mountain of Peace), is one of the best hotels in USA, in the region of the Grand Circle of the United States, overlooking beautiful and rugged desert landscapes and the iconic rock formations called “Mesa”, is an exclusive luxury resort that offers its guests the possibility of an extraordinary contemplative experience.
Directly embedded in the rock formations, with its minimal, geometric and “naked” architecture, it integrates beautifully with the surrounding landscape, and indeed contributes to characterize it.
The forms and the place can only suggest “Peace”, an inner peace due to the direct contact of Human Being with Nature, with its lights and its colors, changing in the day, far away (the nearest city is a 25 minute drive) from every crowded, noisy and polluted place.
Five National Parks
Another feature of the resort’s unique geographic location is that it is literally surrounded by five National Parks (including Brice Canyon, Zion and Grand Canyon), and the Navajo Nation Reservation, the largest Native American reservation in the United States . So there are countless possibilities of excursions in some of the most scenic, naturalistic and historically important places in the United States.
Exclusive Suites
Amangiri Canyon Point has 34 very spacious Suites (ranging from 93 square meters of the Mesa View Suites to the 348 square meters of the Amangiri Suite), arranged on the sides of the central body, in addition to the secluded “Mesa Home” of 576 square meters! All have large outdoor areas with fireplace and many have even a private pool, or terraces with outdoor beds to enjoy the different views in perfect privacy.
The common areas, in addition to the beautiful swimming pool, offer a restaurant with open kitchen, located directly above the pool itself, flanked by a private room for a small number of people. The menus take into particular consideration the local Navajos traditions mixing it with the elements of the internationality.
Unique Experiences
Furthermore, at short distances from the resort, there is a whole series of “special” places where you can dine in a few intimate or organize events and cocktails, perhaps listening to the stories of Navajos natives directly from their voice. It goes from the Desert Lounge, completely open air, with amazing views, to Broken Arrow Cave, where you have dinner in a cave over 6000 years old.
The Spa is also beautiful, built in a separate building and also offers holistic treatments that are inspired by the Navajos traditions.
Of course, you do not have to stay closed all day in the resort and as mentioned above, there are countless opportunities for discovery and recreation. We list only some of them as the excursions to Lake Powell, the Via Ferrata, a ride in a hot air balloon at dawn, visits to the various national parks and even tours by plane or helicopter above them!
In conclusion, a place recommended to those lucky ones who, being able to afford it, want to experience “strong” emotions even without even having to move a finger…. but just taking a look around!
